EvolutionCBS Case Study – Oswald Record Group

The sale of Oswald Record Group to LSG Industrial Holdings was a successful conclusion to an 11 month project,  which involved Evolution approaching 88 identified strategic purchasers for our client’s business.

These 88 prospects were all personally approached by one of our Business Development Managers, Joy Newman.  Joy made nearly 900 calls in total, over a two month calling period.  This highly proactive marketing approach generated meetings with 6 companies and we received 5 indicative offers for our client’s business.  The spread of offers, from lowest to the highest was over 40%.

Businesses are worth different amounts to different buyers.  The skill lies with finding the right buyers, at the right time.

Evolution was expert in identifying relevant and willing acquirers for our client and then attracting them to the negotiation table.  Our work continued when LSG Industrials were selected as the best fit for our client’s business.  We negotiated the finer detail of the contract, drew up the “Heads of Agreement” and guided our client through the “Due Diligence” process.  After a 7 hour completion meeting, the deal was completed and glasses of champagne all round.

This day marks the ending of an old chapter and the start of a new one for our client and his former business.
