Islay Thomson walks the Thames Path Ultramarathon for FRIENDS OF PICU.
Meet Callie!
Callie is the daughter of our Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Islay Thomson, and was born with complex congenital heart defects. Since her birth Islay and her husband Jason have been raising money for the people who look after her most at Southampton Children’s Hospital.
Islay’s next epic fund raiser will be on Saturday the 10th of September this year where she and Jason, take on the Thames Path Ultramarathon completing 50km from London’s Bishops Park to Runnymede in Surrey in one day. This time Islay and Jason are raising sponsorship for FRIENDS OF PICU, a charity who not only care for children and families who find themselves in need of the paediatric intensive care unit but who also raise funds to purchase specialised equipment including paediatric transportation ambulances and extensions within the unit to accommodate more children who need their help and intervention.
Callie has been looked after in PICU 3 times in her short 8 years and is continually monitored by the staff at Southampton Children’s Hospital.

We are all behind you Islay and wish you and Jason the best of luck on the day!
